Meadowbrook Pump Station

Representatives of the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, Monroeville Municipal Authority, and Plum Borough Municipal Authority cut the ceremonial blue ribbon to officially initiate the startup of the Meadowbrook Pump Station. This station will supply water to Monroeville and Plum with flows in excess of 5 million gallons of water per day. Beginning on April 11, the Monroeville Municipal Authority will purchase its water from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County for the next 40 years. Bruce Dice, the Solicitor for the Monroeville Municipal Authority stated “This is a significant agreement which will help stabilize water rates for residents of Monroeville and allow for reinvestment in its infrastructure.”
