In accordance with the PADEP permit number 6513521 dated May 2016, the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County (MAWC) is notifying the Monroeville Municipal Authority that MAWC will be switching the disinfectant residual being supplied to the Authority to chloramines beginning May 3, 2017. As a part of the Clean Water Act, the EPA is requiring cities to upgrade their sewer systems and reduce the environmental impact from sewer overflows into the regions waterways. Project Overview
Starting late May, the crew will be installing 2300 feet of ductile iron pipe from Tyrolia to Dolomite, Dolomite to Alpine Village Drive, Alpine Village Drive to Cavitt. This project will continue all summer, and upon completion the roadways will be restored.Read more

Water taps & water line work is complete on Cavitt/Dolomite. Paving will begin on Monday, Sept 19- please refrain from parking on the street.
Project Overview
On May 5, 2016, final connections will be made to the new 10-inch ductile iron pipe installed between Revere Drive and 423 Franklin Heights. Several houses in the area will be without water between 8:00- 3:00.Read more
